When I think of Gel Press® printing, I think of bright arty projects that are bold and vibrant.

For this project, I wanted to see if I could create something softer and even shabby chic. Of course I could – you can create just about any look you like with a Gel Press® plate!

Step 1

Gather all the things you’ll need:

8 inch Round Gel Press® printing plate

Paints (Kaisercraft Antique White, Pretty Pink, Lime)

White cardstock

Stencils of your choice (I have used StencilGirl Circles Circles by Traci Bautista)

Word die (Paper Smooches Thanks)

Supplies for gel printing

Step 2

Lay down a layer of colour:

Step 3

Apply the second colour of paint to the gel plate, place the stencil over it then pull the print. The design of the stencil will appear as the first colour.

Step 4

Repeat these steps until there are four different circles. If the colours are too vibrant, add a thin layer of cream paint:

Different yet colour co-ordinated circles.

Step 5

Cut these circles out, then distress their edges a little:

Step 6

In order to save a little cardstock, die cut the word from the centre of one of the layers of cardstock that will be covered up on the final card:

Step 7

Layer the circles on top of each other and decorate with flowers. Adhere the die cut word to the card front:
